SYMPATHY

Sincere sympathy is extended to Kelly family Mountrath and Borris-in-Ossory on the recent death of Vincent (Vinny) Kelly after an illness. Deeply regretted by wife Margaret, sons David, Barry, and Robert, grandson D.J. mother Una, brothers John, James, Kieran, Patrick, Francis, and Dermot, sisters Mary, Grainne, Deirdre, Siobhan, Sinead, Eimear (extended family and friends. His funeral took place in Mountrath where is was also laid to rest

4 MONTH DRAW

The final draw in the 4 Month Draw in aid of Knockaroo Church Renovation Fund took place on Friday July 26. Congratulations to the prizewinners - 1st prize (€1000) Rita Mahon, Harristown, Rathdowney c/o Elizabeth Treacy, 2nd prize (€300) Mary Daly, Castletown c/o Eileen Daly, 3rd prize (€100) Sheila Fletcher, Ballyquaid c/o Bernie Wall. The winner of the promoter’s prize of €100 was Joe Moore, Kilmartin, Borris in Ossory.

Thanks to all the promoters who sold the tickets and thanks also to all those who supported this fund raising venture.

KNOCK SHRINE

SOCIAL SERVICES

Thanks is extended to all who contributed to the recent Social Services Church gate collection aat all churches in the parish. Proceeds from the collection will be used towards funding some of the work done by the committee. including meals on wheels, laundry, chiropody, outings, parties and hospital visitations. Thanks also to all the volunteers who took up the collection.
