LATE peg MORAN

The death occurred on Saturday February 8 at Oakdale Nursing Home Portarlington of Margaret (Peg) Moran of St Joseph’s Terrace and formerly of Patrick Street. Remains reposed at Oakdale until removal on Tuesday morning to St Joseph’s Church. Requiem Mass was celebrated at 11am with burial afterwards to St Joseph’s cemetery. Peg was a very active person in the parish community and a founder member of Our Lady’s Sewing Guild and a member of the Legion of Mary. In recognition of her parish work, Peg was awarded a Bene Merenti Papal Medal in 2006, which was presented to her by Bishop James Moriarity.

Peg was predeceased by her parents Patrick and Margaret, her brothers Sean and Michael. The sincere sympathy of the community is extended to Peg’s brothers Paddy and Tom, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
