Congratulations to our team who qualified for the Laois all Ireland ‘Go for Life’ in Dublin in June. Last Wednesday the ARA group met to plan a Campaign of Action for elections issues. Those raised were of great significance to older citizens who take their civic duty of voting seriously. We hope to raise the profile of older people in the community with candidates. Last week the group joined the Portlaoise ARA for their celebration of 10 years, and congratulate them for their fine performance of acting, song and dance to the Country and Western Show, and the delicious food afterwards. They thoroughly enjoyed every minute and thank them for their invitation.
