The Mountrath branch will hold their monthly meeting in the ‘cosy cafe’ Mountrath at 8pm on Wednesday August 20. All are welcome, new members also.

The numbers of the lotto this week were 4,9,16,20. There was no winner. The jackpot now stands at €14,800. Next week’s draw is in Kelly’s.

AWARE

The Aware Support Group for people experiencing depression, anxiety, stress and other mood related conditions meets every Tuesday at 7.30pm in St. Peter and Pauls Parish Centre, Portlaoise. ST FINTANS GAA

Lotto. This week’s lotto worth €4,600 was not won. Next week’s jackpot is worth €4,800 in Purcells. Our Minor game v Camross played this week was abandoned with just 10

minutes remaining due to a serious injury to Patrick Williams. Thankfully the injury was not as serious as first appeared and we wish. Patrick a speedy recovery.

LIBRARY

To tie in with the reading challenge we will be hosting a mythical creatures drawing workshop on Tuesday August 5 11am -12am. The workshop is suitable for girls and boys aged between 8-12 years old. This is a free workshop but places are limited so booking is essential. Call Aoife at 057 8756378 to book your place.

Knitting Club

The knitting club continues to meet every Friday morning 10:30-12:30pm, all welcome. Why not drop in for a chat and a cuppa.

LAOIS HOSPICE

The sale of jam continues in Costcutters Mountrath and Phelan’s Shop Castletown. We would like to thank everyone for their continuing support for this worthy cause by buying jam and donating fruit.

OUTDOOR GYM

The outdoor gym in the local amenity park can be used by all ages. We would encourage all local clubs and groups to use this facility.
