The sale of jam continues in Costcutters Mountrath and Phelan’s Shop Castletown. We would like to thank everyone for their support for this worthy cause by buying jam and donating fruit.

Farm forestry owners whose forests are approaching 4 years or a little older are invited by Teagasc in association with the Forest Service to a Forest Walk on the
“Management of Young Plantations” on May 13 at 7pm starting at at the Emo Filling Station, Portlaoise Rd, Mountrath. All are welcome to the forest walk including all land owners that may be considering forestry at which foresters from Teagasc and Forest Service will address a range of management issues in forests at this critical early stage of development. Condolences to the family of the late Michael O’Sullivan of Pallas who died on April 30. Beloved husband of Kathleen and father to Michael, Seamus, Anne and the late Séan.
