Sympathy to the family of Harry Kelly, Loughteague, Stradbally, who passed away recently. The much loved husband of Chrissie and devoted father to Lucy, John, Michael Helen and Angela by whom he is sadly missed. Mourned also by brothers William and John, sisters Lucy (Gannon), and Josie (Deay), extended family, neighbours, relatives and many friends. Removal from his home to the Church of the Holy Cross, Ratheniska for Requiem Mass. Burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Sympathy to the family and friends of Bill (The Welder) Fitzpatrick who passed away recently. Removal from the home of his nephew Jimmy Fitzpatrick to SS Peter & Paul’s Church, Portlaoise after which interment took place in Ratheniska Cemetery. Missed by his sister Peg, relatives, neighbours & friends.

GAA CHRISTMAS CRACKER

The inaugural Park/Ratheniska GAA Christmas “Cracker” take place on Sunday, Dec 29 in the Park/Ratheniska GAA Club grounds. A fun day out for all, the Christmas “Cracker” is an endurance test like no other. It will be just the thing to help you run off that Christmas Turkey! A 5km walk/run for all, along with an optional obstacle course for the truly brave (or foolish!) The event is open to all, however competitors who wish to compete in the fun run/obstacle course must be aged 16 or over. Entrance €20 pp to compete in the 5km fun run/obstacle course, €10 fee the 5km walk.
