Water Meters

Gardai have issued a warning that now 2014 is here and the rollout of water meters will begin soon, to be aware that under no circumstances will anyone need to enter your house to install these meters. If they say they need to come inside to check taps, or look under the sink etc, just say no, as this does not happen. The most that might happen is that you could get a courtesy knock on the door to say someone from the water company is working outside on the footpath or something, but they will not need to come inside. Please pass this message onto any older or vulnerable people you might know.
