The Portarlington Social Services/Meals on Wheels would like to thank the Portarlington Bridge Club for their 2 generous donations recently. As usual we would like to assure the public that all donations we receive goes into the Service of providing nourishing meals to all our Recipients in Portarlington and surrounding areas. Also for the maintenance of our lovely Centre.
Bingo- Our Senior Citizens Bingo continues in the Social Services Centre every Wednesday night at 8.30pm. Come along and play a few games and have a cuppa with your friends.
On next Friday May 16, there will be a special performance of the Dublin Welsh Male Voice Choir in St Michaels Church. This event is in aid of Cystic Fibrosis Ireland (Kilimanjaro trek 2014). The Concert will run from 8pm to 10pm. The local Primary School Boys Band and Girls Choir will also be appearing. Mountmellick Camera Club in its 25th year are having an Exhibition of some of its work in the Library in Mountmellick for the month of May, with its official launch on Monday May 6 at 6.30pm. There are a number of photographers from Portarlington in the club and we hope as many as possible get a chance to come over and view the images on show.
The launch of Lansdowne/Castlelea neighbourhood watch will be held on Wednesday May 14 in Portarlington Community Centre at 8 p.m. All residents of these Estates are invited to the launch where presentations will be given by the Gardai and by a local alarm company and a locksmith.

The Portarlington Drama Society return to the Dunamaise Arts Centre, on Thursday & Friday May 29 & 30 at 8pm, with their production of Comparisons, by Henry Madden and directed by Siobhan Byron McEvoy.
