Portlaoise Pantomime’s Treasure Island runs from Saturday January 18 to Saturday January 25 next with matinees on January 18, 19 & 25 at 2.30pm (sharp). As in previous years with their reputation for hugely entertaining productions of song, dance, comedy and laughter for all ages this year should be no exception.

A forum Action Plan for Jobs and Business takes place in Portlaoise chaired by Deputy Charlie Flanagan on Tuesday, January 28 at the Portlaoise Heritage Hotel from 5.30pm. The Minister for Enterprise Richard Bruton will be there.
50+ Active Age Group Portlaoise will hold their AGM on Wednesday, January 29 in the Parish Centre at 3pm. All members are encouraged to attend and participate in the proceedings. Remember indoor bowls continue every Monday at 3pm at St Marys Hall and is also open to non-members. So come along and join in the fun
The Laois Hospice Foundation annual public meeting takes place on Friday, January 17 at 8pm in the Killeshin Hotel, Portlaoise. Special guests are Mr Sean O’Rourke and Ms Eileen Dunne of RTÉ. Why not come along and hear about hospice services in Laois and where the monies collected are spent. This should be a very enjoyable and stimulating night.
