Parish Novena

The Novena to our Lady of Perpetual Help runs from each Wednesday at 7.30pm from February 19 to April 16. The 9-week Novena in SS Peter and Paul’s Church features gets underway with Fr Brian D’Arcy. Other speakers include Mickey Harte and Anne Doyle.

St Patrick’s parade

Streets of Portlaoise

The Portlaoise Athletics Club’s Streets of Portlaoise 5K Road Race takes place on March 17 at 11.30am. Entry is €15 with cash prizes in all race categories. Enter online with Run-Ireland, Early Registration day on March 1 at St Mary’s Hall at 2pm, or on Race day in the Portlaoise Heritage Hotel from 9am. Engineering week

On the February 10 Air-mazing: Engineering the Future with Pneumatics will touch down in the Dunamaise Arts Centre.
