An open meeting will take place in the parish centre Portlaoise on Tuesday 11th March. This is a meeting for people who think they may have an issue with gambling or for those affected by someone’s gambling. Speakers from both Gamblers anonymous and Gam anon (a support group for concerned people).
Retired Nurses Assoc
The Laois-Offaly Branch of the retired nurses association will hold a meeting on Monday, Marcy 10 at 3 PM in the SIPTU offices Portlaoise. National conference in Sligo on May 20/21. Anyone wishing to travel to the conference, contact 057 8622996.
Portlaoise Library to visit Portlaoise Shopping Centre for World Book Day, Thursday, March 6. There will be free books, bookmarks and other special offers too. Late Teresa SEALE
Condolences to the family of the late Teresa (Tess) Seale (nee Butler) of Oldtown, Portlaoise who died on February 26, peacefully at the Regional Hosp. Portlaoise, in her 98th year.
