Well done to all involved in the hugely successful Ossory Show which marked it’s 116th year with a focus on family friendly exhibits and community groups activities.
Newly appointed Minister for Foreign Affairs Charlie Flanagan officially opened the show and paid tribute to the committee and wished the show every success in the future. He spoke of the importance of agriculture in our over seas trade and promised to work to open up new markets
Once again Ossory Show attracted some of the best livestock from all over the country. With a larger than ever entry of Young Handlers the future for showing stock is well assured. Reflecting the growing numbers of sheep in the country the number of entries in this year’s show was up and again there was stiff competition.
