Rosenallis senior citizens’ annual outing will take place on Wednesday July 9. The trip will include a cruise on Lough Corrib and The Quiet Man locations tour in Cong, Co Mayo. More details later.
The club would like to wish all the girls who are sitting exams over the coming weeks the very best of luck. We would also like to thank all those who supported our walk in Glenbarrow recently.
Festival of the Mountain
Festival of the Mountain is on June 29 at 1.30pm. Anyone who would like to volunteer for the day can come along to the next meeting on June 5 at 9pm. New ideas welcomed.
Clonohill Open Day
The annual charity open day at Clonohill Gardens will be held on Sunday, June 8, 1pm-7pm in aid of Laois Hospice and the new Solas Bhride Centre. Plant sales and afternoon tea available. The 1.5 acre garden features woodland, lawns, herbaceous borders and a walled garden overlooking the lake. The gardens are on the Laois Garden Trail and have featured on TV. Mountmellick Comhaltas are organising a trip to Brú Ború in Cashel on July 1 departing Mountmellick at 6.30pm returning around midnight. The show starts at 9pm and at 10pm there is Seisiun so bring your instrument, dancing shoes or brush up your song. Join us for a unique cultural experience. Cost is €10 for adults and €5 for children. (Children must be accompanied by an adult). There is no charge for the bus but places are limited. Book your place at the the classes. Closing date for payment is June 10th. Contact 085 713 8940 for further information. The Annual Junior Feis will take place in the ICA Hall on June 10 from 6.30pm. Seisiun follows at 8pm with refreshments. All welcome. Best of luck to all our musicians and participants taking part in Fleadh Laoise next weekend.
