Walkers who come along and join for the weekend are offered free membership for the weekend walks that take place all year round. Many of the walkers who enjoy it so much come back weekend after weekend.

It’s a real opportunity to get out get active, make friends and have fun. During the festival weekend there is after walk entertainment with BBQ music and dancing. Walks are graded for every level of walker from Grade C easy 2 hour walks to Grade A 4-5 hours so there is an opportunity for everyone.

Kinnitty one of the beautiful villages of the Slieve Bloom is the centre for accommodation and evening entertainment. This year there is a choice of nine great walks from easy woodland, to remote wilderness areas of the Slieve Blooms.

In the evening local pubs are providing refreshments and entertainment to add a further dimension to this great social event in the walking calendar.
