FLOWER AND GARDEN CLUB

Stradbally Flower and Garden Club monthly meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 5 in St. Joseph’s Hall at 8 p.m. All members are asked to attend to make arrangements for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and to finalise arrangements for the World Flower Show to be held in the R.D.S. in June.

WORLD DAY OF PRAYER

The World Day of Prayer (international and interdenominational) ‘streams in the desert’ – prepared by the christian women Egypt, will be held on Friday, March 7 in the Nuns Chapel , Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally commencing at 8pm. Women and men welcome and refreshments will be served afterwards in St. Patrick’s Hall.

NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH MEETING

A meeting of the Neighbourwood Watch will be held in St. Mary’s Hall, Stradbally on Monday, March 10 commencing 7.30pm sharp. Anyone with any issues are welcome.

STRADBALLY ICA

Stradbally ICA are holding a demonstration in basket making in St. Patrick’s Hall on today, Tuesday, March 4 commencing at 9pm. All welcome, especially non members.

WHIST DRIVE

Winners of the Whist Drive held on Friday, February 21 are as follows: top score Freda Coyle, 1st lady Kay Chase, 2nd lady (tie) Maree Fennin and Alice Finn, 1st gent John Harrison, 2nd gent Gerry Kealey,1st half (tie) Kit Farrell and B O’Brien, 2nd half Leslie Hunter, lowest score Etta Craig, hatching Rosaleen Cole. Thank you to all our loyal helpers and supporters. The next Whist Drive is in St Patrick’s Hall on Friday, March 21 at 8.30pm and thank you again for your support. All welcome on the night.

GLEBE RESIDENTS TABLE QUIZ

The Glebe Residents Association invite you to test your general knowledge and have a fun night out at a Table Quiz in Dunnes Pub, Stradbally on Friday, March 7. Everyone welcome. Table of four €40.

ADRIAN (JACKPOT) LEWIS

A darts exhibition featuring the two times world champion dart player, Adrian ‘jackpot’ Lewis will be in The Napper Tandy, Stradbally on Saturday, March 29 from 7pm. Tickets or admission €10. Sponsorship cards available if you wish to throw ‘the jackpot’. A great night not to be missed.

STRADBALLY PARISH ST VINCENT DE PAUL

The are looking for unwanted good quality clothes for the shop on Main Street and you can drop them into the shop. Opening hours are Tuesday to Friday 10am-4pm and Saturday 10am-1pm. ST PATRICKS DAY

A reminder that this is our 25th year as the parish of the three parades, Vicarstown 9am, Timahoe 10am and Stradbally 11 am. All are invited to take part and make it a memorable event.

A reminder that Trocaire Boxes are available at the back of the three churches. Your support continues to make a real and lasting difference to the lives of those who need it most.

LEGENDS DAY

Stradbally Soccer Club in association with the Napper Tandy are holding a Manchester Utd v Liverpool Legends Day in the Napper Tandy on Sunday, March 16 commencing at 1.30pm. Pre and post match entertainment, live music, shirt signing and photos with both legends. Watch the game on the big screens with Ronnie Whelan and David May. Tickets can be booked from the Napper Tandy or from any Stradbally Town AFC members. An event not to be missed.

HOUSEBOUND

The housebound will be attended on Friday, March 7.

VICARSTOWN RECREATIONAL GROUP AGM
