PLAYGROUND TOILETS AND FLOODLIGHTING AT THE GREEN

The toilets and floodlighting are now operational at the playground and activity park, The Green, Stradbally with the opening hours from 10am-9pm, seven days a week.

A caretaker from the TUS scheme has been appointed to the toilets. Stradbally Community Scheme continues to look after the playground and cut the grass. The committee would like to thank both organisations for their continued support and looks forward to working with all concerned.

An official opening will take place later in the spring.

WHIST DRIVE

The next whist drive is in St Patrick’s Hall on Friday, March 21 at 8.30pm and thank you again for your support.

CONGRATS

Well done to all the Laois Sprint Squad members who have been training in Vicarstown since last September and who competed in the Leinster Athletics Championships in Athlone Indoor Arena last weekend. Congratulations to the local Oughaval AC athletes Canice Whearty who won the boys u-13 high jump and Fergal Scully who won the boys u/17 high jump.
