Late james Scully

Condolences to the family of the late James (Jim) Scully, 3 Denise Lawn, Shannon, Clare and formerly Timahoe who died on Saturday, November 23. Father of the late Eamon he is regretted by his wife Maggie, sons Paraic and Brian, daughters Geraldine and Kathy, brother Pat sisters Phil, Ann, Teresa and Pauline extended family relatives and friends. Reposed at his residence with removal to St John and Paul’s Church, Shannon, burial in Illaunmanagh Cemetery.

GAA

Club AGM December 7 in the club house, all members attend. Membership due on night.

GYM

Thanks to everyone who supported the quiz in Bergin’s, a total of €1172 was raised. Works are ongoing, in order for us to purchase the equipment membership of €50 is required. Contact John lowry, Roghan Headen, Padraig Clancy, Tom Doyle or James Whelehan.

LIBRARY

We are currently cleaning and painting the library for use as a museum/interpretative centre. It is hoped to run a Christmas carol service to raise funds.

AWARDS

Well done to the playground committee and Timahoe NS, Joan Clancy and Paschal McEvoy who were nominated for Community Forum Awards. Joan and Paschal were nominated for the unsung hero award. The school and the playground committee were nominated for their work with the young of the village.

FOROIGE

The club are getting ready for their annual Christmas party on December 15 in the library.
