A ‘Season of Sundays’ launched for 2012

One of the most eagerly awaited annual GAA books, A Season of Sundays, sponsored by Carroll’s, has been launched by Uachtarán Chumann Lúthchleas Gael, Liam Ó Néill, in Dublin’s Croke Park Hotel in front of a host players and members of the GAA fraternity.

Celebrating its 16th year, Sportsfile has once again produced another stunning collection of images that capture the 2012 GAA All-Ireland season from start to finish.

Each year Ray McManus and his team of award-winning photographers capture the highlights, lowlights and off-beat moments that make each year’s A Season of Sundays an original and memorable keepsake.

This year’s book brings to life the spectacular journey which saw Donegal produce one of the most impressive runs in recent times to take the All-Ireland Football Championship along with the Joe Canning and Henry Shefflin duel which eventually saw Kilkenny emerge with the Liam MacCarthy Cup. The coffee-table collection of images also pictures the Wexford Ladies stunning performance in the All-Ireland Camogie Final victory over Cork and a host of other moments.
