THE draws were made on Thursday night for the Leinster Senior Hurling and Football Championships for 2013 and they have been relatively favourable to the two Laois teams.

In the Senior Hurling Championship Laois will open against the winners of the Preliminary game between Antrim and Westmeath. Should they come through that game, they will face the winners of Carlow and London in the quarter-final with the eventual winners facing beaten defending Leinster Champions Galway in the semi-final. Offaly, Wexford, Kilkenny and Dublin are all on the other side of the draw.

In the Senior Football Championship, Justin McNulty’s Laois team will start their campaign against Louth with the winners facing Wexford in the quarter final. Should Laois come through those two games, they will go up against either Longford, Wicklow or Meath in the semi-final. Dublin and Kildare are on the other side of the draw along with Offaly, Carlow and Westmeath.
