Laois blitzed by dominant Dublin

When Neil Foyle goaled for Laois on 14 minutes to bring the score to Dublin 1-3 to Laois 1-1, Teddy McCarthy’s side were in a good position playing against the wind in O’Connor Park.

Leinster SHC Q-Final

Dublin 3-23

Laois 1-7

However by the time they scored again through Chris Murray after 55 minutes, Dublin had 3-22 on the board and were crusing to a semi-final showdown with Kilkenny.

Once Dublin found their stride, Laois had no answer with two goals from Liam Rushe and one from David Treacy before half-time giving them an unassailable lead.

Laois did add six points in the final quarter but that was too late to even add respectability to the scoreline.

They now await their fate in the qualifiers.
