Laois U-14 football trials will take place this Sunday March 3rd at 11.30am in the old Portlaoise GAA Grounds (beside O’Moore Park). All players to be at the grounds by 11.15am.

Club News

Annual All Club County Board fundraising draw tickets are now available from Committee members. This draw is our main fundraising initiative as three-quarters of ticket price goes to the club. Your support is much appreciated.

All fully paid up Ballinakill Draw Tickets are in bonus draw for two All Ireland Hurling Tickets in September.

Club Membership is now due Adults €50 and Students €10. Members with fully paid up draw tickets can get membership at discounted price of €20

Clonad

Reminder - County Board Tickets

Members are all reminded to buy a county board ticket for the upcoming Laois county board annual draw. These tickets cost €130.00 for a full share, €65.00 for a half share or €43 for a third share. This ticket will enter you in four draws, the first of which will take place in March. The first prize is €10,000 and there are a number of other financial prizes. Tickets are available from Tim Browne at 087-6539919 or Fint Duff at 087 - 6771707. Tickets can also be purchased in D-Kids, Lyster Square.

Dates for the Diary

A presentation ceremony will take place on March 10th at the clubhouse for all juvenile players from U12 down who participated in 2012. On 17th March, juvenile players are invited to join with Clonad in the St. Patrick’s Day parade. On 24th March, Clonad juveniles will recommence training for the year and registration will also take place on that morning. Full details of these events will be sent directly to members.

Training

Training has recommenced for all senior players in the club and Paddy Ging is the caretaker manager at present. Training takes place on Saturday and Wednesday evenings and full details are available from Paddy at 087 2727783.

Lotto Results

There was no winner for the jackpot of €3,800. The €20.00 winners were Colette Fennell, Gerry Kavanagh, Lisa Gorman, Matt Cross and Maura Goode The seller’s prize went to Jock Fennell. Next week’s jackpot is €3,900 and all members are asked to buy a ticket.
