Laois gain home advantage for U-21 football showdown with Offaly

editorial image

LAOIS have gained home advantage for the Leinster U-21 FC clash with Offaly on February 19.

Originally fixed for an Offaly venue, the game was changed as Gracefield was deemed unsuitable by the Leinster Council on Health and Safety Grounds. Offaly played all their home games in Gracefield in 2012. O’Connor Park, Offaly’s usual home venue, is not equipped with floodlights and no other ground in the county with floodlights meets the required standards

The game will now likely be played in O’Moore Park.
