Courtwood put themselves firmly back in the hunt for the Laois IFC title with a convincing 17-point win over Ballinakill in Timahoe on Thursday evening.
Having only drawn their first game, they were on the back foot going into this game but they were hugely impressive here as they swatted aside Ballinakill's challenge with considerable ease.
A Niall Donoher goal helped them to a 1-8 to 0-2 lead at the break and although Ballinakill had wind advantage to come in the second half, the game died as a contest when Damien Carter was given his marching orders a minute after the break. Courtwood continued to rack up the scores and goals from Brendan McNair and Thomas Behan rounded off a good evening for George Doyle's men.
