Laois through to Leinster Final after narrow win over Carlow

.

.

The Laois U-21 Hurlers continued their run in the Leinster Championship with a dramatic one point win over Carlow on Wednesday evening.

Laois 0-15

Carlow 0-14

Stephen Maher was the star of the show for Laois as his scores went a long way to getting Laois through to the decider after a real nip and tuck encounter.

Carlow went into an early three point lead and with 14 minutes to go they were still a point to the good.

Laois however finished stronger and with seven minutes to go were two points ahead. Carlow however never threw in the towel and were back within one into injury-time but the clock was against them and Laois held on for a memorable win.

The victory sets up a final showdown with Kilkenny who demolished Carlow in the other last four game
