Lawlor doubles up as Emo see off O’Dempsey’s
Approaching the end of the league campaign, Emo have found themselves in a promising position with four games remaining. Only three points off the lead, they should feel as if a semi-final is within reach, at the very least.

O’Dempsey’s were a mere point behind Emo, but after this game they will feel they may have thrown away an opportunity to take a semi-final place from their neighbours.
Emo had a four point lead at the break and they soon lead by six thanks to a Mick Lawlor goal.
Three minutes later a penalty was awarded to Stephen O’Leary, and he stepped up and poked home the placed ball, again halving the lead to three.
Emo edged ahead and dealt the killer blow of a goal from Evan Costello which saw the gap stretched far beyond the reaches of O’Dempsey’s, and the game finished with a nine point win for Emo.
