No joy for Heywood in Leinster final

Heywood CS saw their dreams of South Leinster glory dashed last Thursday afternoon on The Heath, as goals in either half from Ardscoil Rath Iomghain proved to be the difference between the sides.

With a strong wind at their backs in the first half, Heywood struggled to find their feet as Rathangan opened up a six point lead after just 18 minutes, but end on to dominate the game from then on. They had the bulk of possession but their finishing let them down time and again, as they had enough chances to score at least three times their final tally of eight points.
