Portlaoise make it six wins in a row

Portlaoise continue to streak clear at the top of ACFL Division 1 after a seven point win over Graiguecullen last Friday night made it six wins from six so far this year.

Graiguecullen 0-13

Graiguecullen put up a brave fight, particularly in the second half, but Portlaoise always had that bit more in reserve. Both teams were missing a number of starting players, but it was Portlaoise who adapted best to that setback, and by half time the game was more or less wrapped up.

They lead by 1-8 to 0-4 at half time, but that could, and probably should, have been a much wider gap, as they squadered chance after chance in the opening period, with over ten wides registered in the first half.
