LAOIS will continue their odyssey through the All Ireland Series this Saturday evening when they take on Dublin in the All Ireland quarter-final.

After games in Leitrim and Tullamore in recent weeks, Justin McNulty and his side will travel to Croke Park this Saturday for a 7pm throw in against the reigning All Ireland and Leinster Champions.

Laois looked to be down and out earlier this year when they exited the Leinster Championship against Longford but they have comeback strong and wins over Carlow, Monaghan, Leitrim and Meath have them into the last eight in the Championship.

While Dublin are rightly praised for their All Ireland win last year and their provincial title defence, playing the Metropolitans will hold no fear for a resurgent Laois.

See this week’s Leinster Express for full report and reaction on Laois’s win over Meath plus a look ahead to the quarter-final this Saturday
