St Fergal’s hurlers receive their Leinster medals

St Fergal’s College Hurling team were presented with their Leinster Schools medals recently by Mathew Whelan, captain of the Laois senior Hurling team and past pupil.

Several other past pupils who are members of the Senior panel also attended. Several students are brothers of former students who won the Vocational Schools Hurling A competition in 2006.

This year the school were in the amalgamted Leinster Post Primary Schools Senior B Hurling after winning Vocational Schools All Ireland A the year before.

The school performed superbly winning the Leinster title beating St Mary’s of Enniscorthy in the semi-final before overcoming St Aidan’s of Dublin in the Final by 2-15 to 1-13.
