Irish medal success for locals in Kettlebells

The Irish Kettlebell Sports championships was held in Kilkenny on the August 25.

Over 100 competitors took part from all over Ireland and the UK. Five members of Portlaoise Kettlebell Club competed in the Long Cycle Event. Portlaoise brought home two golds and two silvers and a bronze which was a fantastic result. The team was coached by Dermot O’Neill who along with Margaret Magee will be representing ireland in Latavia at the IULK European championships this September.

The Portlaoise Kettlebell Club trains at Max Fitness on the Dublin road Portlaoise on a Monday and Wednesday at 6pm and a Friday at 7pm; all levels very welcome. For more information ring Dermot on 085 1076217
