Fourth quarter surge too late for Portlaoise

Team Silvers Portlaoise played host to Maree on Saturday night in St. Marys Hall with the away side holding out for an eight point victory. An excellent display of composure and skill in the second quarter gave the Galway men the platform needed to see out the second half. The home side can be happy with how they finished out the game winning the final quarter by seven points.

Community Games takes centre stage

Laois Community Games action took centre stage in Ballyroan Community Hall on Friday evening last, with many table tennis teams from Ballyroan, Emo-Rath, Mountrath and Rathdowney competing for county titles at U-13 and U-16 boys and girls.
