Doherty set for Ballacolla

While Ken Doherty was busy lately playing in The Paul Hunter Classic where he completed his first ever tournament 147, fans and players alike back here in Laois have been eagerly anticipating his arrival for the Charity Pool Exhibition which takes place this Sunday night starting from 7.30pm at the Hawthorn Bar in Ballacolla.

The fundraising night is in aid of the The Cuisle Centre which is a cancer patient comfort facility based in Portlaoise so we hope to see some great support on the night for this worthy cause. Ken has been one of Ireland’s greatest sportsmen and indeed one of the snooker world’s most talented players and in 1997 Doherty created history when he won the world snooker championship and forever joined the all time greats of the game.

This Sunday Ken Doherty will be at The Hawthorn Bar of Ballcolla to play a special charity pool exhibition against the Laois locals in what is expected to be a great night of entertainment for everyone that turns up to see the master class at work.

There are only a few places remaining for anyone that would like to pre book their place to play Ken on the night so please use the contact details below before they are gone! On the night he will take on up to 30 people.

There will be plenty of snooker memorabilia available along with raffles and auction for signed prizes with funds been raised for the charity. Admission is free of charge so hope to see you all there. Donations however small will be greatly appreciated towards the charity and can be made on the night or anytime by contacting the The Cuisle Centre, Portlaoise.

For those of you who would like to pre book you spot to play Ken on the night please call Stephen Hickey on 086-0315273 for a sponsor card or contact the Hawthorn Bar.
