Stump Jumpers plan for busy 2013

Stump Jumpers Adventure Racing Club (ARC) is a thriving club based in Portarlington, Co. Laois.

It is in existence for over a year now and is welcoming new members all of the time.

It promotes outdoor activity for all levels of fitness from beginners right through to competitors, providing coaching and participation in the disciplines of hill/mountain running, cycling and kayaking.

Activities include organised cycles twice weekly, organised walking group twice weekly and running sessions once a week.

The club has also completed numerous hikes encountering some of the province’s highest mountains. If you are after a more active new year and a healthier you, this is your perfect chance to just become more active as part of a group or develop an activity you may not have participated in before. The club hosted its first duathlon last July and are already planning the next for this July. The duathlon involves two events, a 3km run/20 km cycle/3km run.

There is also a 5km/20km/5km version for individuals or a team You don’t need to be an adventure racer to join, you may just be interested in cycling, walking, running, mountain running, mountain biking, kayaking etc and all are welcome to join.
