With 1 week to go before the semifinal of the Southwest Leinster Mixed Leagues, it’s all to play for in Grade 1.

In the matches playe, Johnswell are leading with 27 points followed by Portarlington Parochial on 22 points. The top team goes through into a final and the next two teams play-off in a semi-final.

In Grade 2, Johnswell of Kilkenny are on top, followed by Portarlington Parochial in second. The top two teams meet in a final. Grade 4B finds Abbeyleix CYMS pitted against Country Club and Rahan of Offaly. Right now Abbeyleix are at the bottom of the table, but they have another week to make up ground.

Grade 5 is dominated by Athy RFC, a club that has always played in Laois Leagues as well as SWLL. Athy are out in front with five games played. Thus far, four 4-all draws have been played. Athy will go through to a final and the real race is for the semi-final spots. Mountmellick Macra currently hold the second spot and Ballinabranna are in third.
