Pro Am returns to The Heritage

The fourth annual Heritage Challenge Pro-Am sponsored by Aidan O’Connell and Associates, Consulting Engineers and Project Managers, Portlaoise takes place this Bank Holiday Weekend , June 1st and 2nd.

With the largest prize fund in Ireland this year, it’s already one of the highlights of the Irish PGA calendar for professionals. For amateurs, it’s not only a chance to take a little inspiration for your game from those at the top of theirs, you’ll also be competing for loads of great golfing gear generously sponsored by Ping Europe.

“Aidan O’Connell and Associates recognises the importance of supporting local strategic businesses of which the Heritage Golf and Spa Resort one” stated Aidan O’Connell.

“In addition we also value the presence of all our National golf Pros and the benefits that they provide to everyday life. Without their presence Ireland would be worse off. We are honoured to be associated with the biggest Pro-Am in the British Isles and hope to be so for many years to come.”

If that wasn’t enough, another draw is that the Pro-Am takes place in a particularly inspiring location too - The Ballesteros Course. As the name suggests it was designed by the five time major winner and Ryder Cup hero Seve Ballesteros and is consistently ranked among the top 10 parkland courses in the country by Golf Digest magazine.

Entry for a team of three costs just €600 and includes 2 rounds with a top PGA professional, a meal following each round, special accommodation rates at the Heritage Hotel (where available) and a memento of the occasion. Players and guests are also welcome at our informal evening in the clubhouse on Sunday night where Ping will be showcasing their latest putting equipment and running a putting competition with fantastic prizes to be won.
