Ballyhyland Riding Club made their debut competing at the National Riding Clubs Festival, which took place at Stradbally Hall Estate on June 7 and 8.

The two-day show is one of Ireland’s biggest equestrian events with over 740 competitors. Club members took part in dressage, showjumping, showing and prix caprilli competitions.

Sarah Mulhall and Derrykearn Gypsy King were placed 1st in Traditional Irish Cob Showing, which took them to the Eddie Fowler Memorial Championships.

Success also came throughLisa Slattery and The Secret Weapon, who were placed 6th in Introductory Showing.

Clare Fitzgerald with Rathnagrew Paddy had a fabulous advanced primary showjumping round. Sharon Conroy with Candy and Vicky Farrell with Xtreme Cavalier also did remarkable in the showing classes.
