Operation Transformation Walk coming to Emo Court

Operation Transformation is coming to Laois on Saturday 19th January at 11am in Emo Court.

As part of RTE`s Operation Transformation National Walk campaign, we are hosting a walk (4.3km in distance) which will be led by Irish Heart Foundation Walking Leaders. The walk will start and finish at entrance to Emo Court where registration will take place at 10.30am. Refreshments will be provided at Emo Community Centre following the walk.

So whether you have already broken the New Year`s resolution of being more active or you wish to kick start it now – this relatively flat walk is just the thing for you. The route is accessible for wheelchairs and buggies. The event is free and is open to all ages and abilities - families welcome.

Unfortunately, due to health & safety concerns no dogs are permitted as part of the walk. Looking forward to seeing you in Emo on the 19th – let’s show the nation what Laois can do and walk your way to fitness.

Along with the five Operation Transformation leaders they are looking to feature groups from all around the country who want to follow the Operation Transformation health and fitness plan. For more information visit www.rte.ie/ot/events or www.irishsportscouncil.ie. This walk is supported by OPW in Emo Court, Laois Partnership.
