A large crowd for both Portlaoise and Naas flocked to Donnybrook to support their clubs in the U-13’s McGowan Cup Final on Monday, May 6.
Portlaoise’s U-14 rugby team saw their season come to an end recently, but they could look back on a hugely successful season for all involved.

Portarlington U-17’s captured the Old Wesley Challenge Plate in dramatic fashion last Saturday after a tense finale with local rivals Newbridge. After travelling up that morning Port found themselves placed in a varied group with teams from Leinster, Munster, Ulster and the Dublin Metro League.
Portlaoise travelled to Athy on Friday night to play Cill Dara in the Final of the area league and came out on top by 15-10.
After a difficult start to the season Portarlington RFC U-13s will be delighted to find themselves hitting their stride at the business end of the season as they look forward to a Leinster League Final having powered past a resolute Cill Dara side last Tuesday night.
Portlaoise faced Mullingar in the semi final of the McGowan cup and played their match at Tullamore RFC.
