Leinster star Rob Kearney visits Portlaoise RFC
European player of the year Rob Kearney is currently sidelined with a back injury but believes his Leinster teammates can continue their winning form in his absence.
The Blues began the defence of their European title with back to back victories despite failing to reach the performance levels of last season. However Kearney is confident it is only matter of time before the side gets back to their best starting with this week’s league match against Cardiff. The Louth native will not be returning in the coming weeks and has been omitted from Declan Kidney’s squad for the upcoming Autumn internationals.
Portlaoise RFC were the winners of a national competition run by Kellogg’s, offering the chance to win a training session with Rob Kearney, professional rugby coaches and an IRFU nutritionist. The club also won €3,000 worth of training equipment and one child from the club will be mascot for the Irish team at the Ireland V Argentina game in the Aviva Stadium on 24th November.
Kellogg’s is the official cereal and snack provider to the IRFU.
