Leeds legend McAllister set for visit to Portlaoise

Ex-Leeds United, Liverpool and Scotland midfielder Gary McAllister will be facing the gauntlet in Kavanagh’s Bar in Portlaoise on Friday June 29th at 8pm in a ‘Questions and Answers’ night organised by the Laois branch of the Leeds United FC Supporters Club.

After a host of similar events in the past, these nights have become extremely successful and enjoyable for all football fans in Laois and further afield and McAllister is arguably the biggest name to date.

He enjoyed a terrific playing career in the top-flight of English football and was an integral part of the Leeds United side who clinched the last ever ‘old’ Division 1 crown in 1991-92, before the Premier League was formed the following season. His fascinating career both as a player and manager, and his continued involvement in media circles means that this event is not one to be missed.

There will be no tickets available on the night, so all those interested must purchase tickets prior to the event. Tickets are 15 euro each and are on sale in AllBooks in Lyster Square, Kavanagh’s Bar or on ticketmaster.ie
