Portlaoise through after thriller

Portlaoise advanced to the 4th Round of the Counties Cup following this thrilling local derby on Sunday morning at Rossleighan Park.

Playing against Premier Division opposition, Division 2 Portlaoise would have been the underdogs prior to kick off but they certainly didn’t look in any way inferior to the travelling Rosenallis men and a late goal from Mick O’Sullivan sealed their superb victory in what was a thoroughly entertaining cup clash.
