St Patrick’s Boys National School held their 1st art exhibition recently under the guidance of local, emerging artist, Aidan Byrne.
For the past 6 weeks, the boys have been working with Aidan on a variety of media. This included pattern and print. 3rd, 4th and 5th class were involved and all enjoyed the experience.
The art exhibition opened on Thursday, February 13th at 8pm in the art studio above Lyle’s shop in the town centre. A large crowd from the community were in attendance and the exhibition ran until Sunday, February 16th. Each item was individually displayed and labelled. This enabled the boys to identify their personal pieces and proudly show their work to their parents, families and friends.
Many thanks must be extended to Aidan for the wonderful and enjoyable experience for all involved.
