Charlotte and Joseph set to sing



Irish singers Joseph Kavanagh and Charlotte Mirza, with musical director Tom Conroy, will bring their first concert to the Heritage Hotel, Portlaoise on Saturday, April 19 as part of a planned national tour.

Joseph Kavanagh who appeared on RTE’s ‘The Voice of Ireland’ in 2012 has worked to bring the full production together with Tom Conroy and alto soprano Charlotte Mirza. Joseph, a trained tenor singer from Ballacolla, has made it a mission to pilot the shows in 2014 and 2015.

He will feature in the show with Italian favourites “Nella Fantasia” and “Santa Lucia” to old classics from the musicals such as “You’ll Never Walk Alone” and “On The Street Where You Live”.

Charlotte Mirza will take to the stage with songs from her new debut album “Voice Of An Angel”. Charlotte will be also singing great songs like “Isle Of Inishfree” and favourites like “Over The Rainbow” and “Don’t Cry For Me Argentina”. Charlotte, who is from Portarlington, featured last year on the first television broadcast of “The Brittas Mass”, with the music for the mass composed by Tom Conroy. The show in the Heritage Hotel Portlaoise will kick off at 8:30pm. Tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster outlets and the Heritage Hotel.
