Dance for Older People

Dance for Older People will take place in the Dunamaise Arts Centre on Friday April 25 and on Friday May 2, at 11am each day.

The event is hosted by Alicia Christofi-Walshe.

It will be fun and social, guiding participants through dance sequences set to music that focuses on maintaining flexibility, balance and co-ordination. Classes combine elements of contemporary and social dances and all exercises can be done either seated or standing. All abilities welcome. Admission is €5 and this includes tea or coffee.

As well as catering for older people, the centre is also hosting a show for younger audience members. Midland Drama School presents Aladdin which will be running from Wednesday April 23 to Saturday April 26, starting from 8pm. This musical adventure of Aladdin will be brought magically to life in this spectacular production starring talented students. Lavish scenery, a glittering ‘transformation’ of costumes, colourful scenes, modern songs and amazing choreography is set to make Aladdin an unmissable experience.
