Dunamaise set to host DDF

DFF featuring Niwel Tsumbu, Vyvienne Long and Dave Flynn, will be taking to the stage in the Dunamaise Arts Centre on Friday April 11.

With a rhythm section featuring Dan Bodwell (Double Bass), Ciarán Swift (Rhythm guitar), Aidan Dunphy and Cion O’Callaghan (percussion), D.F.F. is one of the most exciting groups to emerge in recent times.

With an incomparable sound, DFF merge singular talents and international reputations into one genre-bending musical concoction that reflects the diversity of Ireland’s modern music scene. Between them, the artists have worked with hit songwriters (Damien Rice, Declan O’Rourke, Lisa Hannigan, Shane McGowan), classical orchestras (RTÉ Orchestras), jazz legends (Louis Stewart, Herbie Hancock) and Ireland’s finest traditional musicians (Martin Hayes, Mairtin O’Connor and Tommy Peoples.)

This live show promises a new musical world of African-tinged Chamber Pop Songs featuring glorious vocal harmonies and dazzling virtuoso musicianship. DFF are touring in support of their debut album ‘Pouric Songs’ recently recorded in Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios.
