Durrow’s Bernard lands top RTÉ slot

Laois and Durrow native and comedian Bernard O’Shea has landed a plum job on RTÉ’s 2fm.

Bernard joins his fellow Republic of Telly star Jennifer Maguire and Keith Walsh as the new hosts of 2fm’s breakfast show.

Jennifer and Bernard are being joined by Phantom 105.2 presenter Keith Walsh. Keith and Bernard have worked together before – on a radio breakfast show for iRadio 105 -107.

The team have already been busy with production meetings ahead of their 2fm breakfast debut (date of which is yet to be confirmed).

Bernard and the new crew replace Hector, who departure the show just before Christmas. The Galway-based presenter is due to return to the screens in the spring, with a new series of Hector Goes. Apart from the and 2fm slot and Republic of Telly also returned to the screens recently as host of the with the comedy news show Next Week’s News. The show also boasts PJ Gallagher and Neil Delamere.
