King Kong Company and Cramptown Spaces will be taking to the stage in Kavanaghs this April 26, as part of the Franks Shed TV series of gigs.
King Kong Company are guaranteed to get legs dancing and bodies moving. They’re a five piece band that sound more like a one piece DJ, the set includes drums, bass, guitars, brass and samples.
Their disco influenced tracks make heavy use of samples, from old school reggae to movie samples and disco, last year the band released 12 music videos in 12 months on Youtube. Their debut gig sold an astonishing 600 tickets in their hometown of Waterford back in February and since then they’ve played Life Festival, which was broadcast live on 2FM, and closed out the Indiependence Festival in Cork.
Cramptown Spaces are a four piece indie rock outfit consisting of Conor Finnegan, Eamon Dunne, Eoin Laffere and Jordan Hearns.
Cramptown Spaces take a unique twist on indie music with upbeat grooves, catchy hooks and clever riffs. Since their formation, they have played in such prestigious venues as Cyprus Avenue in Cork and The Workman’s Club in Dublin as well as featuring on RTE’s Music INC.
