Three locally based artists will be hosting an exhibition in Abbeyleix library for the month of March.

Trudi Killeen is a watercolour artist who has lived in Ballinakill since 2005. Trudi’s most recent collection of drawings and paintings has very much been inspired by her local environment, the towns of Abbeyleix, and Durrow and of course Heywood Gardens. Niav Riley is a milliner based in Ballinakill whose her work has won her many accolades. Niav graduated in Fashion Design from NCAD in 2005. She is currently running weekly classes and weekend workshops for beginners. All details are at www.niavriley.ie. A free demonstration will take place on March 27 at 6.15pm in Abbeyleix Library. Ciaran O Brien is an architect and painter who has lived in Ballinakill for 10 years. His work is also based on Laois landscapes.
