Swing gets under the skin next week

Fishamble never fails to deliver on quality theatrical performances and Swing is a show that is not to be missed by theatre lovers in Laois.

Fresh from the stages of The Peacock, Bewley’s Cafe Theatre and the Mermaid in Co Wicklow, Swing has been embraced by enthusiastic audiences across the country - many who love to dance and many who do not.

This charming piece follows the blossoming relationship between May and Joe as they fumble through romantic dilemmas, career problems, life choices, and dance steps. The winner of Bewley’s Little Gem Award at Dublin Fringe Festival 2013, Swing has got under the skin of anyone who has witnessed the production on stage.

A comedy about dance and music and love, Swing will have audiences dancing – inside and out – as they leave the theatre. Written by Steve Blount, Peter Daly, Gavin Kostick and Janet Moran and directed by Peter Daly, Swing dances to the tunes of rock and roll music and has audiences dancing too. The show is just under one hour in duration and hits the stage at Dunamaise Arts Centre for one night only on July 1, next at 8pm. Tickets are €15 and are available at www.dunamaise.ie or by calling the box office on 057 86 63355.
