Mountrath Transition Years get bogged down at Lisduff Adventure Centre

A day out on the bog with a difference for Mountrath students

The TY students from Mountrath Community School recently took on a 7km bogathon in Errill, and they gave it their all.

Mountrath Transition Years got themselves mucked up to the eyeballs recently, when they took on an adventure challenge in rugged boggy terrain in Errill.

The group all took part in a 7km bogathon at Lisduff Adventure Centre in Errill.

The bogathon is designed to test physical fitness, mental fortitude, stamina and strength of character.

The going was tough but fun, as the students threw themselves into the challenge, literally, to overcome a variety of landscapes.

"We all loved the challenges and we didn't care about the mud," said Elaine Copeland.
"It was brilliant fun, even the teachers had a good laugh!' added Conor Montage.
